The date is set

It’s done, my flight is booked!

On the 11th of May 2006 I shall be taking to the skies and heading off to Calgary, Alberta. It comes as a great relief that after a whole year since first thinking of going to work with Wycliffe, the end of the preparation is finally in sight.

As yet, I have not sorted out any accommodation to live in on arrival, nor a means of getting money for, say … food, when in Canada. But little details such as these will be worked out in time.

The realisation of what it might be like to go off for a whole year is also gradually sinking in – really exciting, yet just a little bit scary at the same time.

Don’t forget to pack your short shorts - I know how much you like them.

Hope you had a good flight and have arrived safely and someone came to meet you! Did you get the work permit? God bless as you settle in…
